This form makes it easier for families, physicians, discharge planners and patients to begin the admission process to Virgil. Hello and welcome back!  If you have visited Virgil recently, you would have seen that many changes are taking place.  Instead of keeping you in the dark, here is an update, specifically of the construction, occurring at Virgil.

We are working very hard to create a facility that is much more wheelchair friendly than it has been in the past.  Some ways we have achieved this is by installing new doors leading to the courtyard, installing automatic door operators on a number of the doors including the front door of Virgil and filling in all of the gaps and cracks in the concrete in the courtyard.

We’ve built two new offices in the building to accommodate our administrator and the Director of Marketing and Admissions.  We have hired a number of new staff members at Virgil, a number of who are senior staff members, and we plan on introducing them to you on the Virgil Voice very soon.

All of these changes are only making Virgil better for all of us!  We hope you stay posted so we can keep you updated on what is going on here.

Renovations at Virgil are underway!  You will notice that the parking lot has been paved and landscaping has begun.  We are going to create a lush garden and outdoor area for our residents. At Virgil, we often conduct our rehabilitation services outside in our open-air areas. We have found that the beautiful California weather comforts and relaxes our residents, and is a welcome change to indoor exercises and therapy.  Directv equipment was ordered which will provide many channels to watch including multi-language programming.  We’ve ordered automatic door openers for the front door and the two courtyard doors—including push buttons for both in and out—which will make Virgil more wheelchair friendly.

Welcome to the new Virgil website!  We have been working long and hard on creating a website that is user friendly and we hope this is the case.  Many changes are happening at Virgil and we’d like to keep all of our viewers in the loop.  This blog is where you will find out what changes are being made, such as staffing changes, new activities and construction updates.  We will keep you posted weekly on all of the exciting stuff that is going on at Virgil.
