If you are unfamiliar with any of these services, please read on for a more detailed description.
The Virgil staff believes in keeping your loved one as active as they can possibly be while remaining comfortable (both physically and mentally). For this reason we create a busy schedule of activities that provide them with entertainment, engagement, and the opportunity for interaction with our other residents. Some of these activities include bingo games, card games, movie nights, sing alongs and performances.
Whether it’s aerobic walking or chair-bound calisthenics, we ensure that all of our mobile residents are engaged in physical activities. Regular exercise helps make sure your loved ones are able to fortify their bones, skin, and bodies – counteracting the natural progression that the body undergoes with age.
A clean and ordered environment plays a key role in the wellbeing of the resident. We provide housekeeping services to all of our residents, ensuring that their personal space is in the optimal condition – a place they can feel comfortable in and proud of.
In eldercare, nutrition and dietary guidelines are important contributors to general health. When we welcome your loved one into Virgil, we interview you and them to get to know their preferences, as well as what their body requires to get healthy, and stay that way.
Whether Buddhist, Protestant, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Hindi, many of our residents are religious or spiritual. For them, a healthy spirit is just as important as a healthy body. We provide ample opportunities for religious practice and education, regardless of their beliefs or creeds.
