A Sub-Acute Unit is a Specialized Unit within our nursing residential. It involves its own Medical Director and its own Nursing Manager. Sub-Acute medical units are either a pulmonologist or critical care specialists. A Sub-Acute unit is staffed separately by RNs, LVNs, CNAs, and Respiratory Therapists. Most patients are those with lung failure, those requiring tracheostomy, or those needing a ventilator. Our Sub Acute Unit staff provides intensive skilled services including Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Infusion Therapy, wound care services, and more.
